JB.

JB. I can prove that Luke 21:9 tells an important feature of the Sign that was not visible worldwide some decades ago, but recently has been coming more and more visible in country after country:

Luke 21:9 says:

When you hear of wars and disturbances, do not be terrified. For these things must take place first, but the end will not occur immediately.

“YOU HEAR OF… DISTURBANCES.” This may not sound like a significant feature of the Sign, but when we find out the full meaning of the Greek word rendered ‘disturbance’ we understand how significant feature of the Sign this is.

The Greek word 181 akatastasia means: “INSTABILITY, DISTURBANCE, DISORDER, UNSETTLEDNESS, (POLITICAL) UPHEAVAL, COMMOTION, TUMULT, RIOT, REVOLUTION, ALMOST ANARCHY.” When you hear these words, what comes to your mind? The Arab Spring? The Arab Spring was a wave of protests and of uprisings and of violence which began from the revolution of Tunisia in 2010-2011 and spread out to other countries, resulting in revolution in Egypt, protests and civil war in Libya, and protests and civil war in Syria which still continues today. Or do those words bring to your mind the events in overindebted Greece? Or the protests in Ukraine in 2013 and events that followed and still continue today? Or do those words bring to your mind Ferguson in USA and race riots in different cities in USA during the past year, “the year of outrage”, as CNN puts it? Or do the words bring to your mind some other POLITICAL UPHEAVAL, INSTABILITY, COMMOTION, TUMULT, RIOT, REVOLUTION, ALMOST ANARCHY that has taken place during the past few years?

During these past few years there has been protests, upheaval, commotion, tumult and revolution in country after country, in some countries almost anarchy, and it is getting worse.

It is significant that one feature of the Sign is: “You hear of… [political] upheavals”, “you hear of… riots”, “you hear of… revolutions”, “you hear of… almost anarchy”. When you read news reports, remember this feature of the Sign, and remember the words in Lu. 21:9: “THE END WILL NOT OCCUR IMMEDIATELY.”
